I'm so glad you like this one *foudroyant and that you think I'm actually improving as I go!!! The praise means a lot, you have no idea! Hopefully you will still think the same after you glimpse the sunset addition *crosses fingers* it took me all day almost to do and it turned out darker than I'd originally planned but over all I'm very pleased. I think it further intensifies the 'fiery' passion feel of the overall composition and really compliments Mara's hair. Let me know what you think if you have time-and I was wondering...how do you think I should color the Coruscant cityscape? Should I black it out at the top and do gradual building details as I go down, or should I just suck it up and detail the whole stinking thing? The sun is setting behind the buildings so I could black them out but I don't want to get lazy if I shouldn't...let me know your thoughts if you don't mind Thanks

The sunset looks amazing and really makes the piece more passioned, fiery as you say. Mara's hair really pops out now and looks really good! So romantic!
Maybe it'd be best if you draw the top of the buildings black and start adding more and more details as you go down, because of the sunset. It's really hard to say which way would look better though. Maybe you could print this and try that with one or two buildings, first? A tip that FF gave me some time ago!

And I'm really glad you like the sunset, makes all that hard work I put into it seem all the more worth while. I think I'm going to finish Mara & Luke's bodies next and then tackle the gruesome task of the buildings...I'm just debating if I want to have Mara wearing her classic black leather outfit or if I want to do something a little more colorful since Luke is going to be in his classic black tunic as well...sheesh so many decisions-but I'm sure I'll figure it out...hopefully without ruining anything!

Oh, heavens....how beautiful!! I didn't know you were going to color this one in!! What a fabulous job you've done so far (and I totally sympathize with the "Prismacolor pencils are hard!" thing!! ), with the sunset and the faces and hair! Heehee--maybe it would've been okay for Luke to be "shirtless" here...it looks pretty passionate to me! I love all the detailing, and the hair and skintones are amazing. As to the cityscape--it's a hard choice there: you still have a little daylight going, so some of the building shape would be visible... My suggestion would be to take a look again at some of the screen shots of Anakin and Padme in ROTS, on their balcony--some of those are at sunset, and would give you a better idea of how to do the shading and detailing. You also don't want the b/g to detract from the subjects here, so that's another thing to consider. This is sooo pretty so far! I'm going to wait to fav it, though--when it's gloriously finished!

Yippee Falcon your alive!!! I can't tell you how happy I was to log on today and find comments from you! I've missed you my friend!! After reading your little journal about the "real life monster" plaguing your time I was afraid I'd never have the pleasure of hearing from you-at least not for a long while so I am pleasantly surprised and thrilled that you found time to comment on my newest works!

So now that I've gotten that little excitement burst out of my system let me start by thanking you, as always, for your abundant and uplifting praise for my coloring efforts thus far. You and *foudroyant are like my own personal and much needed cheering section to make me feel like I'm doing well and getting me to move on to the next nervous step of coloring this thing. You two are the best!! I'm glad you think I've done justice to everything I've colored so far and that you think it looks 'assionate' enough to justify "Master" Skywalker being shirtless Hee Hee...but alas I think for the sake of a SW 'g' rating and to keep me and others from totally ing I will simply keep them both fully dressed and leave any 'other possibilities' with their wardrobe( or lack of it) to everyones imagination if they dare *wink* Ha ha

And you'll be happy to know that I took your advice to heart and looked up some reference shots of Coruscant at sunset and even some real life cityscapes at sunset and have decided to stop being a wimp to suck it up and flesh out the blasted buildings more than I'd originally wanted! But I am for sure doing it last because it scares me to death!!Just keep your fingers crossed that I won't muck it up!!! I've also decided to draw Mara in the green jumpsuit thing she was drawn wearing throughout practically the whole 'Union' comic series-I thought it would be a good contrast to Luke's boring black tunic-so keep your eyes peeled for those updates coming soon.
